Argentinian crude steel production declines 11.9 percent in September

Argentinian crude steel output in September decreased 11.9 percent, year-over-year, but increased 6.3 percent, month-over-month, to 357,600 mt, local steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA), said this week.

Local hot rolled finished steel production in September declined 9.3 percent, year-over-year, but improved 3.3 percent, month-over-month, to 323,300 mt. Cold rolled flat steel output in September reached 113,200 mt, 19 percent up, year-over-year, but 3.4 percent down, month-over-month.

As for the accumulated period of January to September, Argentinian crude steel output totaled 2.48 million mt, 30.4 percent down, year-over-year.

Argentinian hot rolled finished steel production in the January-September was 2.28 million mt, 29.4 percent down, year-over-year. Cold rolled flat steel output in the January-September period dropped 6.7 percent, year-over-year, to 790,400 mt.
