CPCA: China’s vehicle retail sales decrease in fourth week of June

Automotive vehicle retail sales in China in the fourth week of June amounted to 51,600 units, decreasing by 37 percent year on year, while indicating a drop of six percent compared to the fourth week of May and indicating an increase compared to 43,899 units recorded in the third week of June, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), sales of automotive vehicles are expected to reach 2.28 million units in June, up four percent month on month and rising by 11 percent year on year. In the January-June period this year, China’s sales of automotive vehicles are expected to amount to 10.24 million units, down 17 percent year on year.
