In May this year, Ukrainian steel mills shipped abroad 522,500 mt of semi-finished steel products, down 28.3 percent year on year. In terms of value, Ukrainian semis exports in the given month fell by 42.3 percent year on year to $181.5 million, according to the official statistics.
In the January-May period this year, Ukraine exported a total of 3.086 million mt of semis, down 0.8 percent percent year on year. The revenue fell in the given period by 12.8 percent year on year to $1.14 billion. In particular, supplies to Italy and Turkey accounted for 27.62 percent and 15.72 percent of the total value respectively, while Bulgaria accounted for 6.92 percent of the total, SteelOrbis has learned.
