Ukraine’s ZZF to restore full production operations

In the short term, Ukraine-based ferroalloys plant Zaporozhye Ferroalloys Plant (ZZF) plans the resumption of its full production capacity, which has been partly idled since October of 2019 year.

According to the official statement, in May the company has already restored the production operations of its furnace No. 1 at its melting shop No.1 and furnace No.31 at its melting shop No.4 due to improved demand in the global market of silicomanganese (SiMn). This will enable the company to increase its output of silicomanganese to 4,000 mt per month. Generally, in May ZZF is expected to produce 21,000 mt of SiMn. Additionally, in the short term Zaporozhye Ferroalloys Plant mulls the restart of one of the most productive facilities, namely furnace No.32 at melting shop No.4, the designed capacity of which is 120 mt of SiMn versus the company’s average 100 mt.
